The Human Libraries Guide was created in response to the need to introduce the methodology to the participants in Human Libraries events – the Books and the Readers – and also to projects and organizations that are interested in putting it into practice but have no experience of it.

It shares information on how an event works in practice (which of course can, and should, be adapted according to the context and objectives of each implementation), and on the process of accompanying the Books by the organizations’ teams – from the construction of their stories and during the Human Library – which should be a careful and safe process.
